London Network for Pest Solutions backs women’s and girls’ cricket in Newham

London Network for Pest Solutions (LNPS) has announced its sponsorship of
Newham Cricket Club for the 2025/26 season, strengthening its commitment to supporting local sport and community development in East London.The partnership will specifically help fund the growth of women’s and girls’ cricket in Newham, providing vital resources, equipment and coaching support to nurture the next generation of players.


Tariq Aslam, Vice Chair of Newham Cricket Club, said: “We’re proud to welcome

Looking for a catering partner

Newham Cricket Club is looking for a catering volunteer to support the club for the 2024 season and beyond. The ideal candidate will have experience in catering and good people skills.

The expenses for catering will be provided and social membership of the club will be awarded.

Looking for a scorer

Newham Cricket Club is looking for a scorer to support the 1st eleven for the 2024 season and beyond. The ideal candidate will have background knowledge of cricket and good IT skills as scoring will be done on a laptop provided by the club. Training can be provided on scoring, courses from ECB are also available for this role.

All expenses paid and comes with free social membership of the club and
a selection of club branded leisure wear as required.

    Saturday in September.

Pre-season prep – calling all players and parents

It’s that great time of year where the new season is nearly upon us but that means we have to get both our grounds ready for the summer. So on the weekend of the 10th and 11th April 2021, starting from 9 o’clock we would like to invite our members including volunteers, coaches, players and parents to come and help the club prepare for the season ahead.

Newham Cricket Club signs a new sponsorship deal with Blackhorse Estates.

Club vice Chair Tariq Aslam, said: “We’re very pleased to be sponsored by such a great local firm such as Blackhorse Estates and hope we can build on the relationship between the club and company in the future.” 

This new partnership has personal connections for both, as Blackhorse Estates CEO, Nahed Patel is an active member of Newham Cricket Club for Saturdays and is also the NCL Sunday 1st Team Captain, playing in the Premiership Division. The Blackhorse Estates Logo will be printed on all Adult playing kits as part of the deal.

Resumption of outdoor sports

With the positive news regarding the announcement that outdoor sport can start on March the 29th. We thought it would be a good idea to contact our members to say we are working behind the scenes with our governing bodies to see what that announcement means for the 2021 season. We will release information to the members ASAP regarding how you can get back using your club within the guidelines given to us.

Ground prep days – 28 & 29 March 2020

Club members, the local community and local businesses are asked to help Newham Cricket Club get ready for the season ahead.

We need many pairs of hands to help with cleaning covers, nets, collecting rubbish etc. To say thank you there’s a BBQ and net session.

We also have a long list of specialist jobs that need doing including landscaping, decorating and car park marking. We would be really interested in hearing from local businesses that could help in return for free sponsorship at the club – message us for more details!

Shepherd Neame Essex League update

We are delighted to share the news that our application to join the Shepherd Neame Essex League (SNEL) has been accepted. The club will be entering one team into the SNEL from next season – April 2020.

This is a major step forward for the club in terms of offering high quality league cricket to its members.

Alongside the achievement of Clubmark status this has capped an excellent year for the club off the pitch.
